We have put a lot of work into making the control scheme as intuitive as possible. The special moves are executed similarly to those you?re used to, though there are many more moves to choose from.

Will the special moves in Jedi Academy be executed by a series of small moves like in Jedi Outcast, or will they execute at the touch of a button? Dual sabers and the saber staff are their own stance. No, only the single saber has multiple stances. Will we see multiple stances (light, heavy, etc.) for dual sabers or the light staff? Will there be more than three stances for any of the saber styles? In Jedi Outcast, there were three saber stances for single saber usage.

With Jedi Academy Released this week, we've updated our section with Eater Eggs, Codes, links to Reviews, as well as the three Official Downloads 2 Dedicated Servers and a Skinning Toolkit. UPDATE: If that isn't enough for you, here's a second review thanks to fellow TFNGames guy, Mark Isaacson: What we have here is another solid addition to the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series that, although using many elements of the previous title, brings with it some great action and one of the better multiplayer modes for a first person shooter. The first time you see the rain sizzle on the saber or you realize the Taun-Tauns can be mounted will be spectacular. One level aboard a transport train screaming through Corusant is an absolutely stunning visual achievement. There's scores of planets to visit, tons of different lighting effects and the environment work like dust, snow and rain are absolutely compelling. Quite rarely was I ever disoriented or lost - and if you are just use the Force power to see though walls to see where people are waiting for you to advance.
I view that as good design though, like the Jedi should be able to sense what is next and head in the right direction. All in all the levels are very massive and expansive, though quite linear. TFN's own Joshua Griffin got his hands on a copy of Jedi Academy and wrote up a review. If you have any questions, check out our informational thread on the forums, as well checking out the server page. You'll be able to organize weekly games, or perhaps Theme Games or Tournaments in the Games Forum, and reserve the server for their use. You'll be able to play there just like any other server, but there will also be scheduled games with other Jedi Council Members. In association with the great guys at Jolt, is very happy to bring your own Jedi Academy Server. This is one TC that I'd love to see made, and they need some help to do it!
